Last weekend, Dave and I did a little wedding venue scouting. It was a nice time in the north. There were vineyards, nice meals, and Solvang. I was excited for Solvang--it's a Danish town, with windmills and everything. Well, everything is a bit of an overstatement. It has an As Seen on TV store, a bakery, a chocolate store and a pretty nice Mexican restaurant. Dave said he knew Solvang was a let down but didn't want to burst my bubble. I think he should have...we didn't even get the pancake balls everyone raved about!

Just to let you know, if you do decide on Solvang I'll be fine for two reasons -- one, because I've always liked Man of LaMancha (basically any movie with singing and dancing will do -- but this is the only one that also has windmills) and second, I love "As Seen on TV" and would be happy to outfit your bridal party with any Oxy Clean, Pedd Eggs, or Green Veggie Bags as needed!
