My Cup is Full

I had lots of meetings this week - both official and un. There was some discussion of budget cuts, tempered with a healthy dose of discussion of the needs of the students (I see these issues as mortal enemies, but that's not what the blog is about).

At a conference, I heard an analogy about students coming to school with their figurative cups full and the first "drop" in the morning causes their cups to overflow. I feel as if this week's meetings have caused my cup to overflow.

Basically, what I want is revolution. Revolution in the lives of my students. Revolution in the policy of the schools. Revolution.

Hey, do you know The Knowledge Works Foundation? Specifically, do you know the map of future forces affecting education? Check it out: http://www.kwfdn.org/map/

I think the revolution has to start somewhere on this map. Bring it.
