Election 2000

Oh wait. That's election 2008.

When I got my license, I decided that I wanted to vote in the primaries and so registered with the Dems. I was a card-carrying Undecided up until that point--say it loud, say it proud. This week, I found out that Undecideds can vote in primaries here in CA. After a moment of regret, I realized it's no big deal. Am I going to vote Republican? Probably not.

Since the primaries are on Feb. 5th here in CA (and half the other states), I've been paying close attention to the candidates. I checked out Project Vote Smart for a little nonpartisan background information on the candidates (very informative--did you know Hillary Clinton is on Wal-mart's board? Or that Barack Obama is a Leo?

I also did a little research on the Iowa Caucus. People are literally standing in a room trying to get their friends to join them in their corner and then there is a crazy percentage thing worked out. That's how they do it in Iowa. This plus the fact that less people participate in the caucus than live in Burbank makes it all a little silly to me.

I have a month to decide who I am going to back. I'm just not sure which way I should go. But I do know, election season is upon us.
