Honda vs. Prius

Sometime in the near future, I will probably be buying a new car. I love the little Honda that could but I want something more. I've been preoccupied by the Mini--Little, yellow (or whatever color I want), etc. etc. But, there is a bit of guilt. I should get a hybrid to be a better person, reduce my carbon footprint...and just be a better person. Today, I learned that might not be so. According to the most recent Dwell, "50-60% of the lifetime energy consumption of a car goes into its manufacture and shipping." Turns out a 5,000 MPG Mini might be in my future!
