gifts (life)

I have just spent one hour trying to look for Christmas gifts on Amazon.com. I am of the generation that should be able to do everything from my computer. I pay my bills, talk to my friends, and stay current on the events of the world with the help of my keyboard. I can't remember the last time I talked to an actual person to buy airline tickets. But, I cannot bring myself to do my gift shopping online. I don't know what it is that stops me. Theoretically, it fits my busy life style and my difficult life style. Maybe it is because it is too impersonal. Maybe it is because I have not found the perfect shopping site. Now, I have a few days to actually find my sister's/mother's/father's/brother's/grandmothers'/friends' gifts...without being aided by technology.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm right there with you. There's something better about a gift that you have touched and found to touch someone else.
